Create a business plan
Translate
The business plan explains how your company’s product can solve the customer’s perceived problem. The business plan contains top-level information that defines the plan description, the strategy (your approach to meeting the customer needs) and key goals and objectives (the perceived customer need).
The business plan is created as a result of analysis carried out on the account (SWOT, GAP, etc). You may do this separately or within the Actis Account Planning module.
Each account can have one or more business plans, e.g. a different plan for each budget year, or a for each product.
Open the account
Under the Navigation tab click Business Planning
Click the Create a Business Plan button, or click the down-arrow on the Create a Business Plan button to open an existing business plan.

A new window will open where you can set-up the plan

- Business Plan Name: Click in the field and type a name for the business plan.
- Business Period: This may be pre-filled or select from the drop-down options.
- Click the OK button to continue
The plan is now active so that you can add your details.
The plan is divided into three sections, each shown on a different tab:
- Business Plan details and objectives
- Timeline which displays the objectives and actions as a chart
- List which displays the actions as a list. Actions do not have be linked to objectives.
Click in the Strategy field and type an overview of how the plan’s goal will be achieved, i.e. your approach to meeting the plan’s outcome.
Click in the Customer Key Goals and Objectives field and type the outcome for the plan, i.e. the need the plan will meet.
The strategy can then be broken down into objectives, which themselves can be broken down into a series of actions or tasks.
