There are two ways to log in to Actis:
- With a username and password
- With Microsoft
Log in with a username and password
Your username will always follow the format: firstname [space] lastname
You will be given a temporary password to login for the first time and will be required to reset your password at first login and at regular intervals specified by your organisation thereafter (commonly every 90 days). Your password must follow the rules for strong passwords.
Log in with Microsoft
Alternatively your organisation may prefer that you log in to Actis using your Microsoft account. This is called single sign on (SSO) and does not require you to have a username and remember password as they are already set up by your organisation.
Single Sign On has many benefits:
- Reducing login to one set of credentials with multi-factor authentication improves security – you don’t need to remember a separate username and password
- Improves usability – it’s easy to access Actis with one click
- Enhanced internal control and visibility for your organisation – improved audit logs about which systems you access and the ability to add and remove users from multiple systems at one time.
